His work brought him to Yemen, where he came face to face with his mortality.

I recently interviewed my friend, and Cambodian genocide survivor, Dr. Emad Rahim. While I enjoyed our entire conversation, one story in particular struck me as very relevant to the challenges we’re facing today as a nation.
Dr. Emad Rahim is a genocide survivor and refugee of the Khmer Rouge Killing Fields of Cambodia. He arrived in the US hoping to find safety, only to face poverty, abuse and the drug epidemic of 1980s Brooklyn
